RESORTS

When you want to treat yourself to a wine country stay that includes a spa, pool, and golf, these Virginia luxury resorts should be at the top of your list.

Keswick Hall | Keswick, VA

After undergoing a massive renovation in 2021, Keswick Hall is one of the most luxurious places to stay when exploring the Monticello Wine Trail. With an infinity pool overlooking the 18-hole golf course, a tranquil spa, and a restaurant featuring organic and local ingredients, you’ll have no shortage of activities when you’re done with wine tasting for the day.

The rooms are light and bright, the decor is perfectly tailored, and the views from your window showcase the beauty of the Virginia countryside.

The Omni Homestead Resort | Hot Springs, VA

Just outside of the traditional Virginia wine country is The Omni Homestead Resort, which boasts the title of America’s oldest resort. Founded in 1766 as a place for people (including Thomas Jefferson!) to stay while “taking the waters” at the warm springs pools, the Homestead is still a place where people flock for a tranquil stay.

In addition to the springs, the Homestead emphasizes Virginia wine. They offer the Virginia Wine Experience, educating guests on the tradition of growing grapes in Virginia, which dates to the founding of Jamestown. Each month, a different winery owner or vintner comes in to connect with guests about their work and what makes Virginia wine unique.
