Through January 5, 2025: Winter Wonderland at Children’s Museum of Memphis

January 4, 2025: 46th Annual Hill & Dale 8-Miler

Start your year off with this eight-mile trail run at Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park. All proceeds benefit the park, and the race begins at 11 a.m. Registration fees start at $16.90. runsignup.com

January 6, 9, 20, 22, 24, 25 & 30, 2025: Memphis Grizzlies Basketball Games

January 7 – 11, 2025: International Blues Challenge

Join 200 blues musicians from around the world as they gather on Memphis’ iconic Beale Street. The International Blues Challenge includes five days of live music and ends with a final round hosted at FedExForum. Passes to the festival are $125. blues.org

January 8 – 11, 2025: Elvis’ Birthday Celebration at Graceland

The week commemorating The King’s birthday is action-packed this year. Head to Graceland for celebrations ranging from a concert with Richard Sterban of the Oak Ridge Boys to movie marathons and more. To see the complete schedule of events, visit graceland.com.

January 9, 16, 23 & 30, 2025: Oil Painting Course

Join artist Judy Nocifora at Memphis Botanic Garden as she teaches this four-week class about various watercolor painting techniques. Admission is $210 for garden members and $250 for non-members. The last day to register is January 6. membg.org

January 11, 2025: ONE-Mile Championship

Regional One Health hosts its fourth annual ONE-Mile Championship on January 11. The race begins at 2 p.m. at the Regional One Health main campus in the Medical District. Registration is $39.44 for adults (ages 19+) and $15 for children (ages 13-17). raceroster.com

January 17, 2025: Science of Beer

The Museum of Science & History invites you to sample some of the finest brews and food in the region while learning about the science of beer. The event also includes lectures and other interactive beer-themed activities. Participating breweries include Beale St. Brewing, Hampline Brewing, Crosstown Brewing, and Wiseacre Brewing. January 20, 2025: King Day: A Celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday

This special event at the National Civil Rights Museum showcases Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s work as well as the history of how the national holiday came to be. The event begins at 11:30 a.m. civilrightsmuseum.org

January 25, 2025: Steve Martin & Martin Short: The Dukes of Funnytown

Get ready for a night of laughs at The Orpheum with Steve Martin and Martin Short! The show begins at 8 p.m., and ticket prices start at $107. orpheum-memphis.com
