WHERE TO TAILGATE IN BATON ROUGE
Tailgating at LSU is a big deal, and the fans will begin as early as 24 hours prior, so get ready!
- LSU partnered with Revelry to offer full-service tailgating packages — they’ll set up your tent for you along South Stadium Drive.
- If you don’t wish to tailgate as part of a package, you can set up your own tent in a parking lot surrounding the stadium. Grilling is permitted.
SB TIPS:
- Come hungry, because LSU tailgates feature plenty of food.
- Uber or Lyft is a good option for transportation. If you choose to drive instead, you can buy a parking pass from LSU to park near the stadium. Some people also offer pay-to-parks in their own yards.
- Visit Mike the Tiger’s habitat, located between Tiger Stadium and the Pete Maravich Assembly Center.
- Louisiana’s capital city has some sites worth seeing, so be sure to check them out if you have time. You can shop at Red Stick Farmers’ Market every Saturday morning, where Louisiana’s local vendors come to Baton Rouge to sell their goods. At Perkins Rowe, you can enjoy great boutiques, movie theaters, and food. Louisiana’s Old State Capitol, built in 1847, is a Gothic Revival castle that now serves as a museum. Finally, the USS KIDD Veterans Museum is a restored WWII Destroyer that now sits on the bank of the Mississippi River. It serves as a museum and memorial to war heroes, and it’s worth a visit.
