About the Showhouse

The 2024 Southeastern Designer Showhouse & Gardens is a newly constructed 10,000-square-foot residence near Atlanta’s Chastain Park. The home’s twin gables lend traditional charm, while other exterior features include a cedar shake roof, painted brick, and sculpted steel doors.

The six-bedroom home boasts a party-ready dining room to welcome guests, while a wood-paneled study provides a cozy escape. The light-filled family room and kitchen offer expansive views of the forested rear lawn and oval pool. Adjacent to the family room, the primary suite capitalizes on serene backyard vistas.

Benecki Homes executed the Showhouse’s design in collaboration with architect Amanda Orr Architect, landscape architect Land Plus Associates, and interior specification design team SOURCE. Every inch of the home is adorned with stunning design details and furnishings, breathing life into this newly constructed residence. Below, we’ve highlighted a few of our favorite spaces!

‘Spring Forward’ Bedroom

Kristin Kong of K Kong Designs crafts timeless designs using vibrant colors, striking silhouettes, and statement accessories, steering clear of passing trends. Her primary bedroom embraces this concept, boasting creative fabric treatments and layers of spring-inspired pastel shades and patterns. The result is a bedroom that offers a refreshingly modern twist on traditional Southern interior design elements.

‘Lush & Lovely’ Dining Room

The walls of this dining room, designed by husband-and-wife duo Patrick and Meghan Sharp, feature a scenic landscape that delivers visual interest and whimsy. The luxurious dining table beckons guests with its gorgeous glassware, patterned plates, and modern nuances.

‘Neutral Nirvana’ Covered Porch

The home’s covered porch by Melanie Turner Interiors embraces a muted color palette that seamlessly blends with the colors and textures of the surrounding backyard. Plants help amplify the feeling of being outdoors, with textures and tassels creating visual interest. Additionally, funky sculptures and eye-catching artwork stand out as signatures of Melanie’s award-winning edited designs.

‘Artist in Residence’ Bedroom

Inspired by his own life and travels, as well as historical locales, Matthew Welden of The House of 396 created a cozy respite filled with endless eye candy. Hand-painted details shine, as does Matthew’s collection of vintage items passed down from his grandmother. Don’t miss the abundance of natural elements, antiques, artwork, and warm, rich colors.

‘Deliciously Modern’ Lower-Level Lounge

We love the attention-grabbing details in this fabulous lower-level lounge by Jessica Davis of Atelier Davis. The space was designed with a young family in mind — particularly one that desired a home rooted in Southern tradition but also prioritized modern aesthetics and worldly travels. The result is a space perfect for lounging and spending time with friends and family.
