This year’s Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles Home for the Holidays Designer Showhouse features a stunning redesign of the Buckhead residence where golf legend Bobby Jones played a pivotal role in creating the Masters Tournament. Located at the corner of Tuxedo Road and Northside Drive, this storied showhouse highlights the creativity of several interior designers, who have decked the home with festive details from top to bottom. Take a look inside!

The classic colonial home was originally a gift from the City of Atlanta after Jones recorded a “Grand Slam” in 1930. Today, the home features an expansive new addition alongside the revitalization of iconic rooms, including Jones’s legendary study, where it’s rumored he conceived the design of Augusta National Golf Club. The reimagined floor plan includes a two-story grand hall, spacious entertaining spaces, and even a sultry speakeasy with lacquered walls.

The Study

Tish Mills Interiors transformed Bobby Jones’s study, seamlessly blending the room’s original wood paneling and historic details with contemporary, design-forward furnishings and artwork. Don’t miss Masters scorecard memorabilia by MatchSouth, which is thoughtfully integrated throughout.

The Master

For those who love mixing colors and patterns, designer Claudia Stimmel created a stunning primary bedroom full of bold brown hues and luxurious textures. Decadent mohair velvet pillows, botanical wallpaper, and subtle touches of holiday greenery combine to create an inviting, layered retreat.

In a delightful blend of elegance and festivity, the decorated bedroom features a bed with pink pillows and a cylindrical cushion. Two lamps grace the side tables, while a deer head adorned with wreaths brings the holiday season spirit above the window. Dark floral wallpaper and curtains complete the cozy ambiance.Pin

The Staircase

We can’t get over the attention-grabbing details in the stair hall by Means Carney Interiors. As you ascend the stairs, you are drawn to a stunning collection of watercolor paintings by Elena Ferguson, each capturing a different flower representing the iconic holes of the Augusta National Golf Course.

The Pool House

Another notable area is Schilling & Co.’s pool house and deck, complete with an eye-catching diptych of the Hogan Bridge at Augusta National Golf Course by artist Jennifer Keim. Outfitted in vibrant green hues, the multipurpose space can function as guest quarters or an al fresco entertaining area.

Lovingly revitalized to its former glory, no detail goes unnoticed, including whimsical Baccarat butterflies delicately placed at each table setting.
