WHERE TO TAILGATE IN COLLEGE STATION

If you’re interested in tailgating, there are a few different areas to consider. Each is filled with alums and student organizations. You can set up your own tent or just choose to wander and socialize.

  • Reed Arena (west of the stadium)
  • Simpson Drill Field (north of the stadium)
  • Spence Park (east of the stadium)
  • If you’re looking to have someone else set up your tailgate, the university partnered with Tailgate Guys to bring this option to fans.

SB TIPS:

If you’re hoping to continue the festivities post-game, consider stopping by one of these spots:

  • Dixie Chicken: An older bar in the area, this is a great spot to play a round of pool, grab a pitcher of beer, and even see a live rattlesnake.
  • Northgate District: Northgate is a strip of bars near campus that’s sure to be lively post-game. Two good spots are The Backyard and Corner Bar.
