A Nashville staple, COLOR is a boutique that defines the art of living beautifully. For over 15 years, the Nashville gift shop has been a go-to for those seeking curated home decor, unique floral arrangements, and other delightful keepsakes. Under the creative direction of Owner Jason Grant, COLOR has grown and evolved, capturing the spirit of Nashville’s vibrant community.
Originally opened in Green Hills, COLOR relocated to a cozy corner of West Nashville four years ago. We recently spent an afternoon scouring the store’s shelves for holiday inspiration for our own homes. Take a look at some of COLOR’s current offerings — and then visit the store to see the stunning displays for yourself!
More Than Just Beautiful Things
COLOR’s appeal lies in the immersive, customer-centered experience that Jason and his team have thoughtfully created over the years. When stepping into the store, visitors are welcomed into a beautifully arranged space where every inch tells a story. The team encourages customers to bring photos of their spaces for inspiration — whether for a front door or dining room table — allowing the staff to guide them through the design process and make recommendations based on their home’s layout and aesthetic.
“We’re totally hands-on when working with our customers,” explains COLOR’s Store Manager Cat Lance. “They can come in, bring photos of their living room or any space, and we help them envision what it could look like with layers and textures that suit their style.”
Curated Collections for Every Style & Budget
COLOR’s collection reflects Jason’s careful curation and attention to detail. He sources items from various vendors, intentionally blending price points and aesthetics to create an inclusive shopping experience. Whether it’s a chic $18 champagne flute or a luxurious $125 dinner plate, COLOR has something to offer every customer.
“It’s a happy place for people,” adds Cat. “It’s a breath of fresh air because it’s beautiful and accessible. People want to come in and be surrounded by beauty, and we make sure they find something within their budget.”
COLOR’s product line is varied and versatile, featuring everything from linens and decorative pillows to jewelry and statement art. The boutique represents five local artists, with works ranging from $58 to $12,000, offering a wide range of styles that can complement both a modern urban loft and a rustic lodge.
Cat explains, “It’s not just about selling a product here. It’s about how our customers will feel in their space with items from COLOR. Everyone’s style is different, and we want to be a part of their ‘beautiful’ — whatever that looks like.”
Custom Blooms Made Just for You
According to Cat, COLOR’s bread and butter is its custom floral service. Customers can bring in their own vases and have them styled with seasonal blooms tailored to their personal tastes and the specific look they’re hoping to achieve.
“We do a lot of florals,” Cat shares. “People love being able to walk out with an arrangement made just for them that’s reflective of their style and space.”
These bespoke floral designs are among COLOR’s most popular offerings, especially around the holidays and special occasions. But COLOR isn’t just about flowers — its thoughtfully curated selection includes hostess gifts, bridal gifts, and a bridal registry, making it a one-stop destination.
Holiday Decor for Every Aesthetic
With the holiday season quickly approaching, COLOR transforms into a wonderland of decor that caters to all tastes and showcases a variety of themes. From cozy monochromatic palettes and icy whites with silver to whimsical, playful setups with vibrant colors, there’s truly something for everyone. Each holiday display is thoughtfully arranged to inspire customers, helping them envision the season in their own homes.
For those interested, COLOR’s Holiday Open House is scheduled for this Friday (November 8) from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The evening includes hors d’oeuvres, beverages, and a festive atmosphere, offering guests a first look at this season’s holiday collection.
Looking Ahead
With the increasing demand for online shopping, COLOR plans to expand its e-commerce offerings in 2025. This move will enable COLOR’s customers from beyond Nashville to experience the shop’s curated aesthetic and bring it into their own homes. While the physical store remains a sanctuary for Nashville locals and visitors alike, the expansion into e-commerce will allow COLOR to share its unique blend of style and hospitality with customers nationwide.
In a world where style often feels fleeting and mass-produced, COLOR stands out as a boutique dedicated to celebrating individuality and beauty. Whether you’re looking for a new floral arrangement, the perfect hostess gift, or just some fresh inspiration for your home, COLOR offers an experience that goes beyond shopping. It’s a place where beauty and community converge, where every customer can find their own way to “live beautifully.”
