Make use of ceiling space …
If you have limited space for storage in your bathrooms or laundry room, consider “descending” options like this hanging rack, available for purchase from @georgeandwilly. This particular rack is intended for drying garments, but ceiling storage comes in many forms. We especially love the idea of creating extra garment storage with ceiling-mounted hanging rods like this one.

… and doorframes!
This clever idea from @by_anitarussell highlights another often-overlooked space for storage β above your doorframes. She uses her above-the-door shelf (shown here) for books, houseplants, and baskets of odds-and-ends. It’s fun to imagine the possibilities for a shelf like this one, both practical and creative.

Repurpose silica packets to keep foods fresher for longer.
Those silica gel packets you always toss from your packages? Turns out, they’re designed to absorb moisture and are great to keep on-hand for dry food storage to keep them fresh. Toss them into your food containers like @thekitchenmuse does here β cereals, rice, potato chips, and more. Just be sure to keep the packets intact, as the silica gels should not be ingested. Wrangle your grocery bags.
We get it. Despite your best efforts, you forget your reusable bags from time to time, and plastic grocery bags pile up fast. We owe this hack to @qualehouse, shown here turning an empty Kleenex box into the ultimate plastic bag dispenser. (Her technique is much easier than it looks at first glance β she simply threads each bag through the handles of the previous one.)
